ANZ Cricket Grant Promotion Terms and Conditions 23/24 season
Promoter and Organiser
- The promoter and organiser of the Promotion is ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited, whose registered address is ANZ Centre, 23-29 Albert Street, Auckland 1010, (the “Promoter”).
Eligibility
- An application can be made to the ANZ Cricket Grant promotion by any parent or guardian residing in New Zealand aged 18 years and over as at 14 August 2023 (“the Entrant”).
- The Entrant may nominate a child from their family aged between 5 and 18 as at 14 August 2023 (the “Nominee”). Multiple entries which are duplicates may result in all nominations by that Entrant being disqualified.
- A maximum of two Nominees in any family would be able to receive a contribution in accordance with this promotion.
How to Enter
- By submitting an application Entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
- The ANZ Cricket Grant Promotion (the "Promotion") commences at 10am on Monday 14 August 2023 with the last time for submitting an application being 9.59am on Friday 22 September 2023 (the "Promotion Period").
- The Promotion provides an opportunity for an Entrant to make an application to ANZ for a potential monetary contribution towards kids club cricket fees for a Nominee in order to support the enjoyment and development of cricket (“ANZ Cricket Grant Subsidy”).
- To make an application, Entrants must complete the online application form available through the ANZ Cricket World website (anzcricketworld.co.nz). Applications must include a statement of no more than 300 words setting out how an ‘ANZ Cricket Grant subsidy will help this summer’. All details in the application must be accurate and not misleading or deceptive.
- False, repeated, misleading or inappropriate applications (as determined by the Promoter) will be disqualified and may also affect the validity of other applications submitted by the Entrant or by other Entrants in support of the same Nominee. In addition, the following applications shall be deemed invalid:
- incomprehensible or incomplete entries;
- any entries that infringe the intellectual property right of third parties or that are plagiarised; or
- any entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions.
- All applications become the property of the Promoter.
ANZ Cricket Grant Fund
- The Promoter has a total fund of $100,000 to subsidise cricket club fees for the 2023/24 cricket season.
- Successful Entrants will receive an ANZ Cricket Grant Subsidy of up to $80 per successful Nominee in the form of a voucher code to be used during the registration process.
- The voucher codes expire at 11.59pm on Friday 29 September 2023, so all registrations will need to be made prior to this deadline.
Application Review
- A panel of judges appointed by the Promoter in its sole discretion will review all applications that are eligible for consideration, throughout the Promotion Period. The judges will assess the merits of each application in their complete discretion and will ultimately determine any successful applications, in whole or in part. Any ANZ Cricket Grant Subsidies awarded will be at the discretion of the judging panel.
- The Promoter reserves the right to change the Promotion Terms and Conditions, as well as the nature, period, scope and any details or elements of the Promotion or cancel the Promotion at any time, by giving notice to the participants via email or through published information on the ANZ Cricket World website.
- Entrant’s that have been awarded an ANZ Cricket Grant Subsidy will be contacted within five working days of the Promoter receiving their application via the contact details provided in the application form. In the event that the Promoter is unable to contact a successful Entrant after three attempts, that Entrant will forfeit the ANZ Cricket Grant Subsidy and the judges will select another successful application in their place.
- The Promoter's decision and the decision of the judges is final on all matters relating the Promotion including applications, the nature, number and value of any contributions awarded, the successful winners and the delivery of contributions. No correspondence will be entered into.
- In the event that a specific successful application request becomes altered, unavailable, or in the opinion of the Promoter, unnecessary in any way, the Promoter reserves the right to reassess that ANZ Cricket Grant Subsidy, seek further assurances or substitute it in its absolute discretion.
- ANZ Cricket Grant Subsidies are not transferrable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash except as determined by the Promoter.
Successful Entrant’s Obligations
- Successful Entrants may also be asked to participate in PR, including but not limited to print, TV or social media promotion. The Entrant may be contacted by a third party agency acting on the Promoters behalf to schedule an interview or photography, as the Promoter in its discretion determines reasonable.
- By claiming an ANZ Cricket Grant Subsidy, Entrants agree to the Promoter making use of their name(s) and/or photographs for publicity purposes as determined by the Promoter. Agreement to this shall entitle the Promoter to unrestricted use of any images and video footage taken as part of the Promotion and rights to distribute, exhibit, license and use the material in any manner whatsoever.
Privacy
- Except as otherwise provided in these Terms and Conditions, personal information received from Entrants will be held securely by the Promoter and used only in relation to the administration of the Promotion.
- Entrants have the right to access and may change or update personal details by visiting the ANZ Cricket World website (www.anzcricketworld.co.nz) and entering the "Contact Us" section or emailing ANZ Cricket World at info@anzcricketworld.co.nz
Liability
- The Promoter and its related bodies corporate shall not be liable for any loss damage or injury suffered or sustained (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly out of or in connection with the Promotion, the taking of any contribution, or any act or omission of the Promoter or their associated agencies, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
- Without limiting the foregoing, the Promoter assumes no responsibility for, and Entrants release the Promoter from, any loss, claim, damage or injury to person or property if, for any reason beyond the Promoter's reasonable control (e.g. due to computer viruses, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures etc), this Promotion is not able to be conducted as planned and/or the Promotion's administration, security, fairness or integrity are corrupted or affected. Further, in such circumstances, the Promoter may modify or suspend the Promotion and/or invalidate any applications of any individual in any way involved in interfering or tampering with the conduct of the Promotion or abusing the communication system upon which the Promotion is being conducted.
- Where goods or services are supplied by third parties, the Promoter does not warrant the quality of those goods and/or services or the suitability for a particular circumstance. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes liability for any loss suffered as a result of the use of those goods and/or services.
- The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry as a direct or indirect result of a technical problem or any kind or internet malfunction. Entries are deemed to have been received at the time of receipt into the ANZ Cricket World website database, not the time of transmission by the Entrant.
- These Terms and Conditions are to be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.

ANZ ‘Kids Takeover’ Terms & Conditions 2021
Eligibility
- An entry can be made to the ANZ Kids Takeover by anyone residing in New Zealand aged 18 years and over as at 1 November 2021 (the “Entrant”).
- The Entrant may nominate a school or cricket club they are affiliated with that has sufficient members aged between five and twelve years old to participate in an ANZ Kids Takeover prize (the “Nominee”). Each Applicant may only submit one application per Nominee. Multiple entries which are duplicates may result in all nominations by that Entrant being disqualified.
Promoter and Organiser
- The promoter and organiser of the Promotion is ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited, whose registered address is ANZ Centre, 23-29 Albert Street, Auckland 1010, (the “Promoter”).
How to enter
- The promotion commences at 12:00am on 18 October 2021 with the last date for entries being at 11:59pm 26 February 2022.
- To enter, Entrants will be required to fill in an online ANZ Kids Takeover entry form at anzcricketworld.co.nz/kidstakeover
- The following entries shall be deemed invalid:
- incomprehensible or incomplete entries;
- any entries that infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party or that are plagiarised;
- any entries that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
- All entries become the property of the Promoter.
- By submitting an entry, Entrants are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
The Prize
- The ANZ Kids Takeover prize consists of 3 prize experiences for 35 children (aged 9-13 years old) and eight adults at the following matches:

- Each prize consists of:
- a ‘Kids Takeover’: being able to play on the field during the innings break.
- Tickets to the allocated cricket match – one for each participant (up to a maximum of 50 tickets).
- A piece of merchandise for each participant to wear during the Kids Takeover (up to a maximum of 50 child-sized pieces and 8 adult-sized pieces).
Prize winners will need to make their own way to the match. No travel or accommodation will be provided as part of the prize experience.
The Prize Draw
- The prize draw will take place ten days prior to each cricket match identified in paragraph 8 above.
- A winner will be selected by ANZ for each match from all valid entries with the city the match is being played in selected on the entry form. The first entry drawn that complies with these Terms and Conditions will win the prize experience for that game.
- Entrants and the nominated school or club can only win one prize in this Promotion each, irrespective of the number of nominations they have submitted or received.
- Once eligibility has been confirmed by New Zealand Cricket, each prize winner will be contacted within 72 hours following the prize draw using the contact details provided on their entry form. If a prize winner cannot be contacted within this 72 hour period the prize experience will be forfeited and another prize winner will be drawn from all remaining non-prize winning entries received for the relevant city. The prize winner must confirm their participation in the prize within 24 hours of being successfully contacted.
Prize winners’ obligations
- The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
- All 2021/22 International Series tickets are issued subject to Ticket Terms and Conditions (“Ticket Conditions“) which apply to the possession and use of tickets. The winners of the prize will be required to comply with the Ticket Conditions.
- The prize winners will receive an itinerary once they have been contacted by New Zealand Cricket and have confirmed their participation, setting out meeting times, venue details and a match day contact person for their allocated match. The prize winners must accept the conditions and commit to comply with the instructions provided in the itinerary or the prize will be forfeited and another prize winner drawn from all remaining non-prize winning entries received for the relevant city.
- By claiming a prize, the prize winners' consent to the Promoter making use of their name(s) and/or photograph(s) for publicity purposes, including advertising, online (including the ANZ Cricket World website) and social media use, as determined by the Promoter.
Promoter Obligations
- The Promoter may substitute an alternative prize of equivalent value without notice in the event any prize or part of a prize becomes unavailable.
- The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry as a direct or indirect result of a technical problem of any kind, internet malfunction or any issues related to the submission of application forms. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the Promoter’s website database, not at the time of transmission by the Entrant.
- The decisions of the Promoter are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The Promoter may change, extend or amend or cancel the Promotion at any time.

ANZ Coin Toss Promotion Terms and Conditions
Eligibility
- An entry can be made to the ANZ Coin Toss Kid Promotion (the “Promotion”) by any person residing in New Zealand aged 18 years and over as at 2 October 2023 (the “Entrant”).
- The Entrant must nominate a child residing in New Zealand aged between 7 and 13 years as at 3 December 2023 who is either a relative or close family friend (the “Nominee”). The Entrant may enter as many times as they wish providing that each entry submitted contains a different Nominee. Multiple entries which are duplicates may result in all nominations by that Entrant being disqualified.
Promoter and organiser
- The promoter and organiser of the Promotion is ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited, whose registered address is ANZ Centre, 23-29 Albert Street, Auckland 1010 (the “Promoter”).
How to enter
- The Promotion commences at 10:00am on 2 October 2023 with the last date for entries being 4 March 2024 at 10:00am.
- To enter, Entrants will be required to fill in an online entry form. Entrants who are not the parent or legal guardian of the Nominee must also confirm that they have the authority of the parent or guardian of the Nominee to nominate the child and act as their chaperone to the selected cricket match.
- The following entries shall be deemed invalid:
- incomprehensible or incomplete entries;
- any entries that infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party or that are plagiarised; or
- any entries that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
- All entries become the property of the Promoter.
- By submitting an entry, Entrants are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
- Where the Entrant is not the parent or legal guardian of the Nominee, the Entrant represents to the Promoter that they are authorised by the parent or legal guardian to nominate the Nominee and accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the Nominee’s parent or legal guardian.
The Prize
- There are 32 coin toss experiences to win. The winning Nominee drawn for each cricket match will receive the following (the “Prize”):
- The experience of participating in the coin toss with the team captains at the commencement of that match.
- Four tickets to that match – one for the winning Nominee, one for the Entrant and two for guests.
- The winning Nominee drawn for a cricket match, the Entrant and the two guests will need to make their own way to that match. No travel or accommodation will be provided as part of the Prize.
The Prize draw
- The Prize draw will take place fourteen days prior to each cricket match in the 2023/24 International Series for both the BLACKCAPS and WHITE FERNS.
- The winning Nominee will be drawn for each cricket match from all valid entries with that match selected on the entry form. There is only one winning Nominee per match, being the first entry drawn that complies with these Terms and Conditions.
- Each Nominee can only win one Prize and each Entrant can only nominate one winning Nominee in the Promotion. Any entries that include a Nominee that has already won a Prize or an Entrant that nominated a winning Nominee will be deemed ineligible for any future Prize.
- Once eligibility of the Nominee and the Entrant has been confirmed by the Promoter, the Entrant will be contacted by a prize winning notification email within 72 hours following the Prize draw using the contact details provided on the entry form. If the Entrant cannot be contacted with reasonable endeavours within this 72 hour period, the Prize will be forfeited and another Nominee will be drawn from all remaining non-Prize winning entries received for the relevant match.
- The Entrant is required to confirm theirs and the winning Nominee’s participation in the Prize by email within 24 hours of being successfully contacted, otherwise the Prize will be forfeited and another Nominee will be drawn from all remaining non-Prize winning entries received for the relevant match.
- Where the Entrant is not the parent or legal guardian of the winning Nominee:
- The Entrant must at the same time provide the contact details for the parent or legal guardian of the winning Nominee.
- The Promoter will contact the parent or legal guardian of the winning Nominee to confirm their consent to these Terms and Conditions.
- If the parent or legal guardian of the winning Nominee cannot be contacted with reasonable endeavours or does not consent to these Terms and Conditions, the Prize will be forfeited and another Nominee will be drawn from all remaining non-Prize winning entries received for the relevant match.
Prize winner’s obligations
- The Prize is not transferable, except that if either the winning Nominee or the Entrant, for whatever reason, is unable to personally attend the allocated cricket match, they must notify the Promoter within 24 hours of the prize winning notification email being sent, nominating the names, contact details and relationship to the winning Nominee and Entrant of their replacement(s). The Promoter at its sole discretion may accept any change to the winning Nominee and/or Entrant. In the event the details of replacement(s) are not provided or the Promoter does not accept such a change, the Prize will be forfeited and another Nominee will be drawn from all remaining non-Prize winning entries received.
- All 2023/24 International Series tickets are issued subject to Ticketek Ticket Terms and Conditions (“Ticket Conditions”) which apply to the possession and use of tickets. The winning Nominee, the Entrant and the two guests must comply with the Ticket Conditions.
- The winning Nominee, the Entrant and the two guests are subject to New Zealand Cricket entry requirements.
- The winning Nominee will receive an itinerary once the Entrant has confirmed theirs and the winning Nominee’s participation in the Prize, setting out meeting times, venue details and a match day contact person for the relevant cricket match. The winning Nominee must comply with the Ticket Conditions and the instructions in the itinerary or the Prize will be forfeited and another Nominee drawn from all remaining non-Prize winning entries received.
- The Entrant consents to the Promoter making use of their name and/or photograph(s) for publicity purposes, including advertising, online (including the ANZ Cricket World website) and social media use, as determined by the Promoter.
- The winning Nominee’s parent or legal guardian consents to the Promoter making use of the winning Nominee’s name and/or photograph(s) for publicity purposes, including advertising, online (including the ANZ Cricket World website) and social media use, as determined by the Promoter.

ANZ Cricket Grant FAQs
Q: Who can apply?
A: The ANZ Cricket Grant Fund will be awarded to nominated children aged 5-18yrs who wish to participate in club cricket for the 23/24 season. Applicants must be New Zealand residents.
Q: How old do you have to be to apply?
A: Applicants must be 18 or over and be a parent or guardian of the nominee, or have permission from a parent or guardian to be making the nomination.
Q: How do I apply?
A: To apply you need to submit an online application at anzcricketworld.co.nz
Q: How many people will you help?
A: ANZ will be helping multiple children across New Zealand. The ANZ Cricket Grand Fund for the season is $100,000, with a maximum individual subsidy of $80 per child. The number of grants awarded will depend on the quantity of applications received and the cost of relevant clubs fees.
Q: Does it need to be cricket related?
A: Yes.
Q: When can I apply?
A: You can apply between 10am on 14 August 2023 and 9.59am 22 September 2023.
Q: How do you select the recipients?
A: Entries are reviewed by a panel of judges. The judges take a number of criteria into consideration when selecting the recipients.
Q: Can I put in more than one application?
A: The judges will consider a maximum of two nominees per Entrant. Multiple applications by the same Entrant will be dismissed.
Q: What information do the judges want to know?
A: The judges want to know how your nominee and their family will benefit from ANZ giving this help and/or why you feel they deserve it. Entries need to be 500 words or less.
Q: I have previously received help through an ANZ Dream Delivery or other ANZ Cricket Grant. Can I apply for some help this year?
A: We encourage you to still apply.
Q: How will I know my application was received?
A: You will receive an automatic email to confirm your application has been successfully received.
Q: When will I be notified if my application is successful?
A: Successful applicants will be notified within 5 working days if their application is successful.
Q: Will I be notified if my application isn’t successful?
A: No, you will only be notified if your application was successful.
Q: When will I hear about whether my application was successful?
A: We will be assessing applications throughout the Promotion Period and successful applicants will be notified between 14 August 2023 and 22 September 2023 via the contact details provided by the Entrant.

Q: How do I redeem my fee subsidy if my application was successful?

The voucher codes expire on Friday 29 September 2023, all registrations will need to be received by clubs prior to this date.
